Documentary screening and discussion

Presented by Virginia Tech University Libraries and the Department of Religion and Culture in conjunction with Americans and the Holocaust: A Traveling Exhibition for Libraries

Researchers discover film footage from World War II that turns out to be a lost documentary shot by Alfred Hitchcock and Sidney Bernstein in 1945 about German concentration camps.

The documentary will be introduced by Karl Precoda, who will also lead a discussion of the film after its showing. Precoda teaches cinema history in the School of Performing Arts and social and cultural theory for the Department of Sociology.

Americans and the Holocaust: A Traveling Exhibition for Libraries is an educational initiative of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association.
