TITANE

Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, Julia Ducournau’s TITANE follows exotic dancer Alexia (newcomer Agathe Rouselle) as she deals with an unwanted pregnancy. Since a titanium plate was installed in Alexia’s head as a child following a car crash, she has had an erotic attraction to cars. One night, after a car show in which she danced, she consummates her relationship with a Cadillac.

Following the inexplicable beginning, TITANE only becomes more bizarre and unpredictable. Heartbroken fire captain Vincent (veteran French actor Vincent Lindon), who is mourning the decade-ago disappearance of his young son, develops an unconventional but tender and nurturing relationship with Alexia.
