Todd Snider with special guest Allen Thompson – Live at the Lyric

Coupling a signature wit, an amiable pathos and a distinctive sound blending bluegrass, blues, folk-rock, country-rock and at times, twang-drenched electric guitar, singer/songwriter Todd Snider first garnered attention for his timely alt-rock satire "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues," a folk-rock song that struck a chord with younger people fed up with angry alternative rock bands, and at the same time, appealed to aging rockers who grew up with the folk revival of the 1960s.

Join us at the Lyric Theatre for an evening of Todd Snider, solo, supporting his latest effort, Eastside Bulldog.

Allen Thompson is the special guest. The Allen Thompson Band — East Nashville stalwarts for the better part of the last decade — could very well be writing the soundtrack for their ever-evolving neighborhood. It’s a neighborhood that, like the band, has changed markedly over the years, ever since Thompson — a Virginia native — left his home state and headed west.
