The Virginia Tech Department of Civil War Studies presents "Free State of Jones."
The latest installment in the Civil War Film Series showcases the fascinating true story of a group of black and white Mississippians who challenged the Confederacy and everything it stood for. Dr. Victoria E. Bynum, author of the book The Free State of Jones, will give a brief lecture and lead an audience discussion. Sponsored by the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies at Virginia Tech.
