2024 has been an exciting year of growth at The Lyric and we are so thankful for all of you who have supported the theatre through your attendance, your memberships, your volunteer hours, and your donations. The Lyric holds such a special place as an arts and community hub for our region, and this is largely due to all of you who continue to show your love for this historic theatre.
This year has seen an increased demand for special film screenings, community events, educational programming, concerts, and live theatre. As The Lyric strives to grow and respond to the needs of our community, we are adjusting our schedule in 2025 to allow for more programming, while still remaining a first-run movie house as well.
Beginning January 10th, after our run of Nosferatu, our schedule for new release films will be Friday – Monday. The weekend times you’ve grown accustomed to will mostly remain the same, but you’ll find additional showtimes most weekends as well (and Free Popcorn Monday will still be with us too)! For films that show high audience demand, we’ll still have the option to add additional screenings throughout the week if needed. Be sure to watch our calendar on thelyric.com for all the showtimes!
This crucial change will open up more time during the middle of the week for us to schedule special screenings of independent and international films, educational programming, music, theatre, and community events. Of course, as with any change, we’ll have an adjustment period over the first few weeks, but we’re excited that you’ll soon be able to see an even wider array of programming at The Lyric!
